A natural outflow of this system is the ability to provide clients with accurate, easy to understand reports that give them a clear portrayal of their entire wealth picture.
Top-of-the-line systems allow us to aggregate multiple accounts, perform independent calculations, and report our portfolios independently with our multidimensional analysis. This is one important differentiation factor between us an our competitors. Most private banks rely on old complicated systems patched through time. Our system is a result of a modern comprehensive and consistent suite of programs.
Business Continuity
Any serious business enterprise has to prepare for the unforeseen. Business disruptions, though rare, can vary in their scope and severity and may have only a minor impact or delay (such as a power outage of short duration). Others may be far more severe and may impact a large regional area. We have plans in place to continue operating at nearly full capacity for as long as it is needed, with no minimal loss to data and processes. BaffinAdvisors’ portfolios use the largest international banks as custodians, which have their own state-of-the-art “business continuity” plans. Thus, custodians ensure the continuity of asset custody and services. Baffin Advisors ensures the continuity of out portfolio management and monitoring practice in case of a disruption.
We plan to quickly recover and resume business disruption of any sort. Our business continuity plan addresses: data back up recovery; all mission critical systems; financial and operational assessments; alternative communications with customers, employees, and regulators. Our first priority will be the safety of our employees and the privacy of our clients’ personal information. In addition to our main office we have a secure alternative location. The Asset Management Information System is hosted in a remote location and all the relevant information is backed up in a different secure location. In short, our business continuity plan is designed to permit our firm to resume operations as quickly as possible, dependent upon the scope and severity of the business disruption.
